Programs

Marx once observed that each generation asks only those questions which it already knows how to answer. Seeking unasked questions that may fall outside of or between traditional departmental lines, we gather people from a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives to learn from one another. Our seminars, workshops, and public programs help people engage in constructive debate, reflect on their work and their values, and connect with new mentors and allies, building a culture of ethical inquiry and action at MIT.

“The Forum has played a highly constructive role in bringing critical issues to the attention of the campus and the community, and fostering discussion and active engagement. For me personally, it has been a great privilege to be able to participate over the years, occasions I always look forward to with much anticipation.”
